Evaluation of influential value engineering factors on the function of interchanges: case studies in Iran

Abstract In Iran, recently in large-scale projects, the science of value engineering has become very important and order to show significant impact results increasing efficiency reducing cost reason for choosing this research. The experience developed countries shows effect method optimization plans projects. This research, too, aims evaluate effects on performance interchanges so that with comparing their results, most qualitative parameters can be determined, also present a suitable model reduction per each IRR study’s expenses. first part research will give short introduction its job plan, then, 8 studies cities Tehran, Karaj, Shiraz, Mashhad qualitatively quantitatively analyzed, as quantitative evaluation (including construction cost, total index, relative index) compared base plan projects other. Finally, outcome among parameters, acquisition parameter plays role best design engineering, some which depends employer’s view regard. next step, improvements were travel time safety, neglected analyzed here is environmental improvements, demands especial attention. From it concluded every one expenditure performing studies, interchange Iran reduced by 334 IRR.
